Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms govern your use of Verifield (the "Platform"), operated as a product of NaijaSabi. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. What Verifield is — and is not

Verifield provides Trust Scores, reviews, and scam reports to help you make informed decisions. Verifield is an information service, not a guarantor. A high score is not a promise that an entity is safe, and a low score is not a legal finding of wrongdoing. You remain responsible for your own decisions. We are not a party to any transaction between you and any business, seller, employer, or other party.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Submit false, malicious, or defamatory reports or reviews.
• Post content that is unlawful, harassing, or infringes another person's rights.
• Attempt to manipulate Trust Scores, including through fake reviews or coordinated reporting.
• Scrape, copy, or resell Platform data without written permission.
• Interfere with the Platform's security or normal operation.

5. User content

You retain ownership of reviews, reports, and other content you submit, but you grant Verifield a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute that content on the Platform. You are solely responsible for your content and confirm it is truthful and based on genuine experience. We may moderate, edit, or remove content at our discretion, including content that violates these Terms.

6. Reports and reviews

Scam reports are published only after moderator review. Reviews reflect the opinions of their authors, not Verifield. Businesses may respond to reviews and reports and may appeal decisions (see our Reporting Policy). Submitting knowingly false information may result in removal, account suspension, and potential legal liability for you.

7. Business verification

Verification confirms that we reviewed certain documents at a point in time. It is not an ongoing guarantee of conduct. We may revoke verification or a badge at any time. Fees for verification or premium features, where they apply, are described at the point of purchase and are non-refundable except as required by law.

8. Intellectual property

The Platform, its design, logos, and software are owned by us and protected by law. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

9. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied. We do not warrant that scores, reports, or data are complete, accurate, or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Verifield and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for any loss arising from your reliance on the Platform or from any transaction with a third party. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Verifield against claims arising from content you submit or your breach of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for any breach of these Terms. You may close your account at any time.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
